The Chico Area Interfaith Council held its annual dinner on Nov. 13. This year’s program was centered around a community conversation about how we can stand united against hate in the North State, from awareness to action. Videos were shown from local individuals who have experienced hate in our community to deepen our understanding and empathy. Pictured is Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey. He explained the difference between a hate crime and a hate incident, then spoke about the long-lasting effects on the victims of hate.
